The exploration of “Monstrous Black Holes” in the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond will be the subject of two shows at the Carmel High School Planetarium Saturday night.

The planetarium and the Carmel High School Astronomy Club will present the 45-minute shows at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

According to a news release, Planetarium Director Keith Turner said the program will discuss the properties of black holes, where these phenomena come from, and the evidence for the huge black holes that exist even in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Tickets — $4 for adults and $2 for children, Carmel High School students and seniors — are on sale at the high school bookstore from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Friday. Children ages 12 years and younger should be accompanied by an adult.

For more information, contact Turner at wkturner@ccs.k12.in.us or (317) 846-7721, ext. 7446.
