such a short story tho, hollywood will steal anything to make a buck,, i bet they ruin it.... sucks you cant share your tat due to employment complications,,, im sure i can clear time in my schedule for you to come over and show it to me... you show me yours ill show you mine...lol erk

Ok. sure. i'm curious... but how depressed are you that there's an entire generation + out there who will see this movie based on the "cool graphics" rather than the fact that it's a new spin on an ancient tale/epic poem that they may or may not even teach any more in lit. classes? ugh. i feel old.

no kidding Caralyn. That's my biggest fret. I'm usually disappointed with the Hollywood interpretation, especially when the story has an action movie slant to it. It's hard to appreciate the literary merits when there are explosions and blood :P

I'm willing to give it a chance... at least more people will be aware of the story, however warped it ends up.

I'd go see it, lit geek that I am. But I don't mind that filmmakers mine stuff like Beowulf for material. Why not? It's great stuff. And then at least viewers have those literary references in their heads, even if they saw it instead of reading it and even if they came for the cool graphics.
