BROWNSBURG – The town is hosting its first Build-A-Bale contest to let local residents and businesses show a little creativity with some autumn flare.

Registration began Tuesday and runs through Sept. 10. The first 50 participants who register will be given two bales of straw to decorate. The bales will then be judged and displayed in front of Town Hall.

Organizations or businesses can advertise or a resident could just have some fun.

The bales will be displayed Sept. 23-Oct. 9 outside Town Hall, 61 N. Green St. Judging for the contest will be Sept. 24.

Registration is $10. Organizers said proceeds will go to the town’s Christmas decorations. Those interested can register at Town Hall.
