The Boone County real estate market appears to have dipped a bit last month, but remains stronger than most of the central Indiana counties, according to figures from a local real-estate company.

Realtors sold 64 homes in Boone County in September at an average cost of nearly $211,000, a drop of $20,000 from August, when 62 homes were sold. September’s average price was also slightly lower than July’s average, when 76 homes were sold in the county, according to realtors Landrigan&Co.

Only Hamilton County homes sold for more than its neighbor to the west last month, at an average cost of $233,000. But Homes sold in Eagle and Union Townships remained the highest in the area in September, with an average cost of $306,000. The next highest township was Clay with an average sale price of $282,000.

The average Central Indiana home price in September was $143,000.
