It’s been awhile since any of Will Oldham’s bands (it seems he’s going by something different every month…) have rolled through Indiana, but on March 12th he’s going to be playing the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington. The first time I saw Oldham was at IU when he played Second Story. He was wearing a t-shirt that said “professional muff diver”, and everything about the performance was perfect and reaffirmed my belief that he is one of the best performers and songwriters around. I’ve seen Oldham many times since then, the most memorable being at the Southgate house with a naked man, fresh out of jail onstage shaking it for the crowd, and then late last summer in the middle of nowhere by a shack and a lake.
Despite the crazy antics that sometimes arise at Oldham’s shows, he is always jovial, silly, sometimes serious and always entertaining. See you there!

Details:
Thursday, March 12th
8-11pm, $15 advanced, $20 at the door
