Hemalayaa is a stern taskmistress. More surprising is that I still haven’t squished a cat, even though they were really asking for it today.

Today I advanced to the second sequence of “Bollywood Burn.” This is the sequence that promises (or threatens, depending on your perspective) to up “the cardio to optimum fat-burning range.” It did just that. I start with sequence one and went right into this sequence, which introduces “prayer arms” and various jumping and step-touching moves and more jumping. Bollywood dancers really like to jump.

Hemalayaa’s long, thick, luscious hair looks like it always has a fan trained on it. During this visit I thought she was sweating a little; maybe it is body glitter spray on her. On me, it was definitely sweat. I feel less glum than I felt when I got home; my downstairs neighbor, I am sure, has increased her hatred for me two-fold. I am sure her light fixture was swinging as I hopped on one foot and then the other.

Why is it that cats always want to get in the way of exercise? Whenever I pull out my yoga mat, my cat plops on it and sprawls out. And when I try to work around her, she claws at my feet.
