Best Concert Ever

What is your best concert moment ever and why? Or have you seen someone before they were famous? For me a few stand out

Nirvana-Seattle, the last concert of the In Utero tour. They played with an incredible energy. At the end everyone in the band started smashing instruments at the end of the set. Kurt Cobain carefully took the angel effigy (the one on the album cover) off the stage. Then joined in smashing frenzy. I am not certain, but I believe it was Cobain's last concert before his untimely death.

Stevie Ray Vaughn- The Gorge at George, WA. The late Stevie was amazing on the guitar. His fingers moved so fast, it was like magic! Stevie wasn't even the headliner, Joe cocker was. The Gorge is an amazing place. The backdrop of this outside venue is like a mini Grand Canyon.

Indianapolis-Uncle Sam jam, When it was still downtown in that park by the Star. Bare Naked Ladies! Not in the legend category, but they were so darned funny! They ragged on the Pringles Wow chips given away, and the possible side affects of "underwear spotting" and they also totally ragged on Richard Marx. It was hilarious!

The bad news is we have young kids now and we don't get out there like we used to.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - in a crowd of 100k @ 1973 Ozarks Music Festival, Missouri State Fairgrounds. We hung out with some Alabama bikers who told us about this great band from down south that was playing north of the Mason-Dixon line for the first time. They said their encore song (with some kind of bird in the title) was amazing. Needless to say, when the Confederate flag dropped behind the band and they kicked into Freebird, the rest was history.
