The Avon Chamber of Commerce will once again honor local residents and businesses making a difference in the community.

The chamber currently is accepting nominations for its third annual Avon Community Awards.

Nominations will be accepted in five categories, which are open to Avon community members of all ages. The awards are for: Outstanding Youth; Citizen Service; Outstanding Professional; Distinguished Organization; and the Hero of Avon.

Anyone in the community may nominate another person for an award.

To recommend a person for an award, simply download a nomination sheet from www.avonchamber.org and return it to the Avon Chamber Of Commerce by mail at 8244 E. U.S. 36, Suite 140, Avon, IN 46123, by e-mail at info@avonchamber.org or by fax (317) 272-7217 by Nov. 13.

The awards will be presented at the chamber’s Christmas party on Dec. 2.
