This free reading and open mic is at 7 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 11) at the Writers' Center of Indiana, 812 E. 67th St., Indianapolis (just west of the Indianapolis Art Center). This month's featured poet is Jeffrey Owen Pearson, the author of the chapbook "Hawaii Slides" (to be published by Pudding House Publications, Columbus, Ohio, due out late this year). He also has been published in Maize, Flying Island, the Tipton Poetry Journal and Country Feedback Literary Magazine. The Muncie poet co-director of the Humpback Barn Festival of Poetry and Art, and a committee member of the Midwest Writers Workshop.
