Accountant's creation wins scarecrow contest
ZIONSVILLE — The people have voted and Angela Wulber, Certified Public Accountant, is the winner of the Zionsville Merchants Association’s Scarecrow on Parade People’s Choice winner.
Businesses created scarecrows representative of their specialties and put them on display outside. Wulber’s scarecrow had a large calculator in its grasp and a jar of beans on a bale of hay by it.
“It was an extremely close contest,” ZMA president Carol Marquiss said in an email response to the Star. "Akard’s True Value, Northwest Radiology, and Montgomery Aviation were vying for the top honors; Angela Wulber, CPA had a very strong finish and won for People’s Choice.
“All the scarecrow entries were very creative and fun.”
Marquiss said awards for most original, likeness to business/organization, creativity and best of show will be given at the ZMA meeting at 8 a.m. on Nov. 4 at the Hussey-Mayfield Library.
The drawing for the ZMA Fall Giveaway Package also will take place at that meeting. Those who voted in the People’s Choice contest are eligible.
