Surviving in a digital world is the topic of the Music Industry 101 panel at Indiana Black Expo, noon to 1:30 p.m. July 19 at the Indiana Convention Center, Rooms 109-110. Hosts alpha. and Jay Rio will guide a discussion featuring industry professionals, who will give advice on keeping up with industry standards and toss around a few ideas on raising the bar.
Panelists include Tony Neal, CEO, The Core DJs; Janie Jennings, Industry Works independent label consultant; Ron Miner/DJ Indiana Jones, Crush Entertainment Artists Management; Dave Leonard, Midwest regional rep, A&M/Interscope/Geffen Records; Cheryl Winston, Midwest regional rep, Capitol Records; Kevin "Coach K" Lee, artist manager, Coach K Music; and myself, founder and editor of entertainment publication Midwest Leak.
