The Writers' Center of Indiana has announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Robert Olen Butler will be the keynote speaker for the 2008 Gathering of Writers on Saturday, Oct. 18. Theme of this year's event is From Where You Dream. Time and place will be announced. According to a news release from the center, other activities during the daylong gathering include writer's workshops, an opportunity to participate in a master class taught by Butler, an open mic, a chance to pitch a manuscript to an agent. More details will be announced in the center's newsletter, to be mailed in August.
