Megan McKinney, a longtime presence on the Indianapolis theatre scene, is the new executive director of the Fine Arts Society of Indianapolis.
McKinney, 36, has been senior manager of marketing and public relations at Indiana Repertory Theatre, where she has worked for seven years. She also has acted in roles at the IRT, Phoenix Theatre, and is a member of Heartland Actors Repertory Theatre.
Founded in 1969, the Fine Arts Society is a non-profit organization that creates classical music radio programming for WICR-FM 88.7.
McKinney, who will start her new job on Aug. 11, succeeds Michael Hunt, who left the Fine Arts Society about June 30, and has returned to St. Louis.
