so the guys that re-opened the Irving Theatre a few years ago are looking to sell probably one of the most awesome oversized pieces of musical memorabilia ever; the stage Elvis played his last public concert on.

first off, dont think i am doing them a favor by posting a link to contact them about the stage. ive been on it. its old and its, well, a stage. but when i look back to the missed opportunity in the destruction of Market Square Arena as being able to collect true memorabilia of the location of Elvis' last concert, i get mad at myself.

this however, is totally obtainable and well, big. i would hope that an investor would snatch this up and drop it in the parking lot of the RnR hall of fame, but i dont know anyone with a big truck, so ask around.

How did they get it? I was at Elvis' final concert. (Yes, I was only five and for the life of me I don't know why my parent's took me to the show, but I am eternally grateful that they did.) I think I would like to see a piece likt this remain in the city...why can't they mount it on the Hard Rock's ceiling or something of that nature to keep it here but put it where everyone can see it. I remember Dick Clark's restaurant had a giant guitar that some kids in Indiana built and the thing had tube lighting that played Stairway on the hour. It was great. I don't know what happened to the axe, but I think that stage should be displayed. If, it is the real stage...I am assuming it is bigger than it looks? Is it at the Irving now?
