The 36-unit Argyle on Mass Ave apartments have been sold after three years on the market.

Local real estate investors Larry Browning and Ron Bowden bought the Downtown building, which includes the Aesop’s Tables restaurant, for $3.2 million from Tony Wishart, said Tikijian Associates, which represented both sides in the deal.

The building’s list price was $3.5 million.Wishart had owned the 98-year-old building since 1983.The new owners plan to spend about $300,000 to finish the basement for commercial or apartment rental space, said George Tikijian. The brick building contains 18,000 square feet of commercial space and occupies a prominent corner spot at 600 Mass Ave.
