Peace. In an effort to educate those voting in November (and even those that may have been blatently lambasting the man with no knowledge of what he has actually accomplished), I have condensed over 16 pages of background info on Senator and Democratic Presidential Elect Barack Obama...

Into rhyme form.

With production by obscure local legend, J. Brookinz.

Curious?

I'll pass on this propaganda. Obama's worthless.

lol @ randydaytona. I respect your stance, and I'm by no means looking to sway anyone to vote for a certain candidate; merely looking to encourage people to learn more about the candidates, their backgrounds, and where they stand. This recording was done moreso for my generation, the Hip Hop generation, who, sadly, dont read or care much about politics and some dont even plan to vote, or are voting for Obama out of blind Democratic allegiance or beacuse 'he's one of us'. I just want people to educate themselves and step away from those blind alleigances. I have my issues with the system as well, granted, but this was done of my own accord to enlighten, not to blindly endorse. So again, I truly respect your opinion and desire to pass on this project, I just wanted to be sure my motive was clear.

Peace & Blessings to you.

haha, well at least you are not following him blindly. I can't stand the people who just want him to win because they think it's cool

Ironically; its those EXACT people that I recorded this piece for. And, to be honest, it was NOT EASY lol. So this is equally a testament to my own craft as well, and I make no bones about that. If you find yourself so inclined, give it a listen, if nothing else, to hear how I pieced it together (if you can stomach the quasi-propaganda nature of it lol kidding). I tried to be as objective about the facts as possible, and would actually appreciate the opinion and feedback of one who is NOT indeed a fan of the Senator. In all seriousness. (But will still respect if you choose to 'pass' lol).

I listened to it. It sounds like it took a lot of work, good job. The thing is it's just a bio of him. There is no doubt that he's accomplished a lot but he is running for the most important job in the country, probably the world. While I strongly disagree with his policies, I think the lack of experience is really important. I'm really not just saying that to bring him down, I truly believe it. That job is going to have a lot of pressure that I'm not sure a guy who's been a Senator for only 4 years can handle. That's a huge risk. It's like hiring a recent grad to run Wal-Mart or an oil company, probably not the best idea. I wouldn't want an inexperience guy on my side to be President right now either (honestly.)

The other thing that I can not stand about Obama is the race issue. This guy is just as much white as he is black but we don't hear anything about that. I have no problem with a black President, as long as he is qualified. You're song brings up the half way true fact that he is black a few times and it really shouldn't be important.

Anyway it is refreshing to see someone who doesn't call me a racist or an idiot because I don't agree with Obama. You're one of the truly mature Obama fans who doesn't resort to name calling. Good job with the song. It just seems like you had to fill up with a biography of him rather than things he has accomplished that make him qualified to be President. Yes, he's got quite the resume but thousands of other people have the same qualifications.

No doubt; I truly appreciate your insight. You make some extremely valid points. And yes, he is just as much white as he is black, and yes, race shouldnt mean SQUAT, let alone gender. I do agree that he indeed does have qualifications numerous others have, and he is inexperienced, but thats where I feel his strongest suit is, in my opinion. It's his lack of experience, being 'on the inside' and knowing how everything works that make him the ideal candidate, in my opinion. Because, as per the example you gave, I personally WOULD hire a new grad with little to no experience to run something because he is still pure, untainted by the so-called 'realities' of the position, and he has a TON of ideas on how to make it all work better. Yes, they may fail, but in that failure comes learning, and learning how to do things even better. And yes, there is a HUGE fear factor in that, because when a President messes up, it affects MILLIONS of people and dollars. But in the same token, that is where growth comes from; as an individual, as a culture, and as a country. This nation was built on mistakes, missteps, and defiance of status quo. We've done horrible things and wonderous things. And in the end, we all, as people, become greater and stronger from that experience. And I think what we could use is just a new, fresh set of eyes to look at old problems with new, untried or tested tactics. Its a crap shoot, no doubt, but one I'm willing to bet the farm on. But again, just my opinion, and in no way imposing it upon anyone. Just my personal thoughts. I truly do appreciate your feedback and civility as well. And you stand by your convictions, which anyone should always respect. Kudos to you, sir.
