I'm doing a big block party in my neighborhood, it's pretty cool it's the one time of year when everybody in the neighborhood hangs out together, so we celebrate by blowing crap up.

That sounds like fun. I haven't bought fireworks in several years. When my brother lived in Indiana, we'd get together with him and a couple friends, pool our money and buy the biggest fireworks we could afford.

When I was a kid, my dad was always a spoil sport and would never let us buy anything illegal like bottle rockets or firecrackers...we could only have fountains and spinners. Once, an uncle gave us a whole bag of the good stuff that we had a lot of fun with. When I hit 18, I started buying my own fireworks and went a little crazy. I had a stash of bottle rockets and fire crackers that lasted for years, left them with my little brothers when I moved out.
