We took the kids to see "The Haunted Castle" at the IMAX Downtown Saturday night. I tried to do a little research about the movie but didn't find much, other than it was in 3D, supposed to be sorta scary and rated PG. The latest Harry Potter and Spider-Man movies were both PG-13 so we didn't take our kids to those. But most PG movies you expect to be fine for kids. "The Haunted Castle" -- we soon found out -- wasn't. It's about a young man's venture into hell. Not a metaphorical hell, but a graphic rendering of what hell must be like. The manager was nice enough to refund our money. From what I saw, it wasn't probably worth it either way. The story is thin and played out -- about the devil trying to get a musician to sell his soul to him. And it works like you're walking through a haunted house. Only you are sitting on your butt. I'd rather have my $30 (for a family of 4) go to the haunted house at the Children's Museum.
