Book Clubs: Love 'em or leave 'em?
Anyone a member of a book club? I know plenty of people who love 'em and plenty that hate 'em. I guess I'm somewhere in between. I'm not going to run out and buy the latest Oprah recommendation, but I would have a beer while discussing a book on occasion.

Not a member of a book club, but I do enjoy reading in bars. And if someone wanted to join me for a drink and read with me that would be fine.

I'm in a very informal group that started on a message board. We're currently reading Ignorance by Milan Kundera. It's good stuff. Of course, I know from previous experience that we'll probably just end up drinking and making fart jokes and talking about anything but the book, and that's fine with me.
