I went to TaTa Cuban Cafe with my friends and I just loved the atmosphere. My Cuban sandwich was delicious, and my friends had Ropa Vieja and Pan Con Bistec. We had a good time and will go back soon. We are waiting for Mojito and Cuban jazz nights in December. That should be fun...I recommend to everyone, try something different .

Thank you for posting this. I recently (read 2 years ago) moved back to Indy from Florida and one of my biggest complaints is that there is no good place for black beans and rice, plantains and cubanos. I'll definitely check out Tata. Thanks for the contribution.

Oh God. Platanos and tostinos and arroz con gandules. Does anyone except that Cubans and Puerto Ricans even know what those things are?!! Amazing. So so tasty. Can't wait to get over there and check it out.
Yes some of us gringas do know what that kind of food is. LOL Well only because I am married to a Cuban man and most of my friends are Boriqua. But I would be thinking the same thing KIMI. I cant wait to get to this resturant. My husband and I usually go to Chicago. But I do miss Miami though.

This place doesn't have bean & rice or plantains and cubanos.. HUGE disappointment. The sandwich I tried was really good though.

I like Da Blue Lagoon; you can get plantains there, as well as beans and rice. (And curried goat -- one of my favorites.)
Just down the street at Northside News Cafe, at 54th and College, they're supposed to have a good Cuban sandwich -- anyone tried it?
That place sounds tasty, I'll have to give it a try.
I agree about Da Blue Lagoon. I like their Beef Patties. One of my favorite places is Patties of Jamaica at 52nd and Allisonville. I swing by there and pick up a bunch of frozen patties to go when I'm in the area. My hubby and I love them.
