The Hollywood Idea Machine, the unstoppable force it is, moves on. These guys from something called "The Hollywood Reporter" is reporting that, sacrilige and blaspheme, the classic 80s commies-invade-America flick "Red Dawn" is being remade.
Okay, so it's not all that sacred, but it begs the question: What?! Soviet troops invading America doesn't seem to make much sense in today's post-9/11 world. In 1984, sure, makes perfect sense. Methinks a change of antagonist is in order, considering the USSR doesn't even exist any more.
Side note: Does anyone know if "Red Dawn" is still considered the most violent film of all time? At one point I think it was recognized by Guinness (the World Record people, not the ale people) as having the most on-screen deaths per minute.
Red Dawn could not rule any harder! What a great movie this was when I was a kid. Definitely not one to be remade. Now if they were talking about remaking "Over The Top" the classic arm wrestling film starring Sly Stallone that would be another story. That movie almost rules equally as hard!
WHAT!!!!!!!!????????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is wrong with the "hollywood" people? My god, why?????
Sorry, but this movie kicks so much butt and to remake it is blaspheme....ugh 1st The Warriors now this? Terrible Terrible Terrible idea, just come up with new ideas for movies...........WHAT A CONCEPT!

WHAT!!!!!!!!????????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is wrong with the "hollywood" people? My god, why????? Sorry, but this ...
Actually, I think "Hot Shots Part Deux" has it beat technically, but it was done as a joke. :)
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I hate Hollywood. totally worthless. what happened to original thoughts? NO remake of Red Dawn could EVER, EVER be as good as the original. I am sure it will be over-the-top CGI, balls-to-the-wall "action" with a crappy cast of ultra buff, capped-toothed hollywood douche rockets. Now, i remember why i stopped going to the movies so often about 13 years ago.
