'Tis true, says Variety. A live-action film adaptation of the 80s-era Jim Henson production is in the works.
The Weinstein Company will produce, while Cory Edwards, mastermind of the animated Red Riding Hood flick "Hoodwinked" (and Anderson native), will write and direct.
Like the show, the movie will feature a mix of human actors and the "Fraggle Rock" puppets.
The movie could be great or extremely creepy. Too bad kids these days don't have a chance to see Fraggle Rock. The concept of a kid's movie for adults has always struck me as odd, but I guess everyone wants to relive a piece of their childhood from time to time. Thanks for the info.
