I've come across a very thought provoking website and thought it worthy of sharing.
I went to the WTHR site and clicked on the following link: http://www.setyourwishfree.com/ upon making a wish and "blowing" the wish free in the wind I was able to read the wishes of other wishers. How confirming the wishes are to the current economic (or lack thereof) state of disaster we are in. I thought I'd see wishes for money, cars, or frivolous extravagances. WRONG! The wishes pertain to daily needs like food and health insurance. Not to mention wishes that tug at the heart strings of humanity for healthy parents.

"ONE DAY YOU WAKE UP"….today I woke up. And yes I cried when I read as many wishes as I could withstand. My wish was to afford a good school for my offspring to attend, because he has worked so hard and I want to be able to give him a chance to make it in this society past paycheck to paycheck. Looking at the wishes and knowing what I know of where we are today in 2008, I worry that this is a wish within a wish that tomorrow allows us the luxury of FOOD. Food as a luxury, how sad. THANK YOU to all the doubters that this country is going to hell in hand basket on the fastest train smoking. Good job on doubting that one. By they way………TELL YOUR PRESIDENT SINCE HE DOUBTED $4.00 GAS MAYBE $8.00 IS MORE REALISTIC.
