The photo was submitted to www.indycar.com after the race and the official loved it so much that they decided to use it. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is so fan friendly that you can catch, Fred Redmer,the fan that took photo used on 2008 Indy 500 ticket, waving the green flag to start practice Fri, May 16.
