Nah...I just bought a cord to convert the RCA's to headphone jacks and plug that into the computer mic...you got your hookup right there. It's budget but it works. Then just download some free software to capture the tracks.
Cost you about 5 bucks compared to Lord knows how much for the USB turntable.

I have the Crosley Keepsake (annoying name) http://www.crosleyradio.com/prods/cr249.html I bought another turntable a year ago which did NOT have the USB connector and there was an annoying hum in all of the MP3s, so I went for this one. It's study & solid (unlike my last turntable), and for the price I can't really complain, I'm quite fond of it. . But then I think I have fairly low standards. You can hear the results on my blog, if you like: http://baikinange.blogspot.com/2008/04/thats-what-i-like-about-south.html http://baikinange.blogspot.com/2008/04/welfare-cadilac.html http://baikinange.blogspot.com/2008/03/farmers-market.html The first is from an album, the second a 45 rpm, and the third is a 78. I like that it does all three--my last turntable did not.
Plus, you can just use it to play albums without hooking it up to your computer.
