2008 Prelude Award Winner Katie Lupke and 2007 Prelude Award Winner Darren Maxie on the set of the Peggy Dorsey concert at Clowes Hall 2007

On May 17th at 2:00 pm in the Clowes Memorial Hall of Butler University the Jordan Academy of Dance will present its annual concert Celebration of Dance dedicated to the memory of dance pioneer Peggy Dorsey. This exciting event is not only a celebration of Ms. Dorsey and her commitment to dance education, but is also a celebration of the very talented young dancers of the Academy. Featured in this year's concert is the North Central High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Rick Granlund. The Jazz Ensemble will play accompaniment to the Jordan Dancers in Nataly North-Lowder's piece titled Sleuth.

This professional production will include the original choreographic works of Indiana based choreographers; Andrea Bruce's Tap Happy; Laura Hedges-Byram's Divertimento and Labyrinth;, Nataly North-Lowder's Prelude to a Midsummer Night; Roberta Wong's Speaking In Tongues; and artistic director, Larry A. Attaway's La Malaza.

The back drop for Nataly North-Lowder's Prelude to a Midsummer Night was generously provided by the George Verdak Trust.
This years cast of dancers includes 2008 Prelude Award winner Katie Lupke a senior at Roncalli High School. Katie will be attending Florida State University in the fall as a dance major.

Please join us in this true celebration of the future of dance in Indiana and help support these extraordinarily talented and dedicated young people.
