I'm aware that the price of basically everything is higher on both coasts than it is here in the crossroads of America. However, I am finding it hard to justify $9.50/person for a movie. Unless it's the U23D movie at Imax.

I usually don't go to the movies unless it's before 6PM which cuts the cost down to $6.75. Which also means there are less people in the theatre and less annoyances.

Shop around for some deals. Kerasotes offers $5 movies (any showing time) after they've been out a while. Other cinema chains have similar clubs.

I won't go to the more expensive shows, I can't justify the cost. I'd rather go to the less expensive show so I can get popcorn and a drink for the kids and I.

I am/was a huge fan of the $1.50 movie in Greenwood...but recently the sound and visual quality there have been pretty bad. I've forgotten about the $5 buck club...wonder where my card is!

Go to a matinee & then sneak into a second movie. Ad don't forget to get your free popcorn & soda refills on the way out.
