With "Cloverfield" coming out on DVD today, I want to direct everyone to an excellent source of Cloverfield details, spoilers, and other translatory materials.

IMDB's FAQ for the film is pretty darn comprehensive and enlightening. It conjectures and discusses things from who died and who didn't, what the military was, what the smaller creatures were, what happened to the girl who was bitten, and a host of other details.

It'll also help clarify some of the DVD extras on the disc, including commentary by director Matt Reeves, two alternate endings, deleted scenes, and some easter eggs that will help shed light on exactly what is going on.

I really enjoyed this film, and would love to get a more in-depth discussion going about it as you guys get it on DVD.

I don't know if I'm going to buy the DVD, I mean the whole gimmick was that no one had seen the monster, well I've seen it now and was unimpressed. It was decent enough in the theaters, with the sounds and big screen, but I don't imagine this will be all that interesting the 2nd time around, it's lost its gimmick and in that, some of it's allure.

I've read the FAQ's after I saw the movie and a lot of it is just random posters on IMDB's ideas of what happened, and not actual facts from producers. But there is some useful background info on there.

I am interested in seeing the Coney Island scene, with the splash in the background or whatever it was.

I was pretty obsessed with this film for a while, and checked out http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/ daily. If the DVD has cool special features, I would consider buying.
