So she's not exactly an Indy native, but of course Indy racing is a big deal around here, and Danica Patrick is the girl next door (hailing from Roscoe, Il). After many great finishes, including a 4th place finish a few years back here at the 500, Danica has finally won her first major IndyCar race.

Coming in first place 5.8594 secs ahead of pole-sitter Helio Castroneves Danica earned the trophy for the Japan 300 and became the first female IndyCar champion.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this years Indy 500! I was there in 2005 and I hope to be there this year when she wins!
