I've been back in the US for 8 years now and can't seem to find a decent gyro. It seems the meat is either too salty, too greasy or too seasoned. So far the best I've found is the little hole in the wall join in Broadripple, but it doesn't compare to what I'm used to. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried Sam's Gyro's (http://www.indy.com/venues/show/7914)? Their schwarmas are absolutely the best I've had, but their gyros are excellent as well.

I will definitely have to check that place out when I get the chance. Thanks.

Santorini's in Fountain Square. Excellent gyros. You also might want to try their smoked eggplant baba ganoush.
