I'm wondering what venues, restaurants, etc. you avoid around town and why. For me, inveterate smoker that I am, I tend to shy away from clubs that don't allow that. I mean, I'm already likely to feel somewhat tense and clautrophic while surrounded by analphabetic miscreants and drunken yahoos. Asking me to jettison one of my main sources of tension relief is a bit too much. I get it, though. Smoking is evil. Sorry about that.

So, how about you? What makes you want to stay away from a place?

I tend to steer clear of meat market bars/clubs. Places of that nature, and majority of people I've met who frequent them are a major turn off. That, and I won't dance (and make a fool of myself) in front of people in this portion of the country who I might happen to run in to ever again.

Also, I avoid places with ridiculously poor service. I'll give a place a second chance, but multiple negative experiences get written off, and I spread the word to my friends. But, I assume a lot of people are that way about that one.

I could write a book on this subject alone, but to cut this short, I"ll go anywhere once. Just the experience of seeing something different on the wall is good enough for a memory. I've been to ALOT of places in INDY, especially bars, and the one thing i hate doing is going into a bar that best suits customers in their own lifestyle or Genre. You know who you are
