The Fiery Furnaces are brother/sister duo Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger. They've recently been joined by former String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth.

The band signed with Thrill Jockey Records last year and released their latest album, Widow City, this past October 9. They're a hard band to pigeon-hole a sound on. A lot of it is bluesy guitar-driven garage rock, but they layer and mix in many genres, electronic and synth-pop to cite a couple.

Action Strasse is the project of Vess Ruhtenberg and John Zeps (owner of Vibes Music here in Indianapolis). Vess is and was a member of some pretty amazing bands, namely the Zero Boys, The Pieces, United States Three and The Lemonheads. Vess also plays in the new(ish) local project Beta Male.
