what do you think the best place in indy to see a concert is?
for an outdoor place, i really like the lawn at white river. it just seems easier in and out of than verizon. also, you get to see some big bands and some smaller bands play their.
for an indoor place, i love egyptian room. its got great decor and sounds good most nights.

Even though I've only been there once I really enjoyed The Music Mill, and The Murat Theater is also great for a smaller indoor show. I really like Verizon for an outdoor show as far as acoustics, but hate the traffic and high prices so I try to avoid it if I can. The Lawn at White River was OK the one time I was there but it won't draw the bigger shows that I enjoy attending. Conseco just SUCKS bigtime although they draw most of the shows that I like to see. Sometimes I'll go to Louisville(which is actually closer for me anyway) or Cincinatti over Indy anyway.
In the small venue category: Some may complain about the acoustics, but I love Radio Radio. Why? Two words: no smoking!!! Two more words: clean bathrooms.
I met my husband at the Melody, but have never really loved seeing shows there. I still end up there several times a year. Go figure.
On the I'm-getting-old topic: the Vogue is only good when I get a seat.
