What's everyone's favorite place to shoot pool? I got a table at home, but I still like to get out and play some random people from time to time.
If I'm in Broad Ripple it's gotta be Average Joe's because they got 50 cent pool and a decent amount of tables. It's tight in there but still fun. Peppers isn't bad if your already in the bar, or didn't pay cover. Lots of space to play and you can usually hop on a table pretty quick. For the best competition, I head down to the Alley Cat...although, I've almost gotten in a few fights over some games there and theres always mad lurkers near the tables.
North side: Fox and the Hound has the best tables, since Chalkies went out of business. You are playing on a larger table, but Fox's hourly prices are ridiculous...I call those north side prices. For a more reasonable price, but bar size tables, I head to The Beer Cellar and throw down quarters.
East side: Bubbaz, sad but true. It's a high school reunion every time I go in that place, but they got a bunch of tables, and I've won a bunch of money in that place off of drunk friends.
What's everyone else's favorite spots? On any side of town?
I like Fox & Hound on the north side, but have only ever played when it's free.
From what I hear, you can find a serious game at Executive Billiards, near 52nd and Keystone.
Well you're talkin' Indy but if you find yourself in Btown (Bloomington) check out The Video Saloon aka The Vid. 50 cent bar size tables with a great atmosphere. Also Q Billiards or simply "Q" has plenty of tables, lots of space and cheap beers.

I used to live right over there, but never played there, it always looked like it was closed when I would drive by. I actually bought my pool table right across the street at Steepleton's.
I think I really need to check that place out. Thanks!
