Minus the Bear are indie-pop veterans of the musical Mecca that is Seattle. They mold songs out of electronic experimentation, off-kilter time signatures, and an infectious drum signature. With song titles like "Monkey Knife Fight!!!," the group's song titles may border on the absurd but the melodies contained within have made Minus the Bear one of the most revered indie acts around.

The Brooklyn-based trio The Big Sleep creates a brooding batch of psychedelic rock with an indie rock aesthetic, throwing in a little post-rock to sweeten the deal.

Portugal the Man hail from the great white way of Alaska and take the conventions of indie-rock and infuse them with a healthy does of soul, bar room blues, and folk rock.
