It's still a bit under the radar for a summer movie, but the poster for the Ed Norton-starring "The Incredible Hulk" has been released. It's got a definite Bill Bixby vibe in keeping with early photos, and that poster is also reminiscent of the "Spider-Man No More" cover from the Amazing Spider-Man. It's kind of hard to get a read on it, but this one has low-key gem written on it thus far.
IGN gets credit as the source.
Nice visual skills catching its similarity to the Spider-Man cover. I think this version will destroy the last one. In case any of you haven't seen it yet, you can catch the trailer here.
They did the Spider-Man No More story in Spider-Man 3 already...so you think the Hulk movie will be about Banner looking for a cure? Well, that's a safe bet considering that's sort of the main theme of the comic book. He's always looking for a cure for Hulking out.

Is he allergic to anti-anxiety medicine or some sedatives? That would keep me from getting too angry.
I'm kinda looking forward to this movie, I actually liked the first one a little bit. It was one of the only comic book movies that was filmed like a comic book looks, although I believe they have a different director for this one. But I hate movies where they change the main actor and make sequels or re-writes, even if it's an improvement....it's pretty lame.

Good point about getting him on Prozac. Judging from the trailer, it looks like Banner is going to have to intentionally make himself the Hulk to fight Abomination...i.e. embrace his curse to a degree.
As I mentioned in another post somewhere on this site, this isn't supposed to be a sequel, but sort of a reboot because the first one was considered a disaster of epic proportions. They're not going to redo the origin story, but neither will they be referencing the first story (and note that the entire film has been recast, not just the lead). I do think Edward Norton is the ideal choice for the role, and while I'm cool with Eric Bana, I don't think he was quite right for Bruce Banner.
Having said that, I also liked the visual look of the first film, and was a fan of the film up until the point Hulk/Banner was caputured by Gen. Ross. That's of course when it went crazy.
I even was buying into the Nick Nolte role until he became the Absorbing Man-type character. I was hoping he'd turn into Abomination or the grey Hulk or something. Or they just could have ended it with him being captured and saved whatever that story was supposed to be for the next film.
I have seen the trailers and like the different angle. I did love the artistic and comic book scene changes from Ang Lee's version, but it was too long and drawn out. This was the same guy that brought us Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and I fell asleep trying to watch that movie about three times!!! The casting of both movies seems to be good, and can not wait to see this one without pounding about 3 Red Bulls to not fall asleep.

Getting angry isn't the only thing that turns him into the Hulk. In the comics, he also turns into the Hulk when he's in physical danger, often even if he's unconscious. They've made the change into a survival instinct in addition to an anger response.
I turn into a raging green monster whenever I have to sit through incredibly crappy movies like the first "Hulk"...
yeah, in the original Hulk movie it seemed like the Hulk kept changing size or something. Sometimes he would just be a regular size green fighting machine, and at other times he could pick up cars with his hands and or something.
I haven't watched in awhile but it seems like there was some discrepency there when it came to the actual size of the Hulk, but the cutoff shorts would always fit no matter how large he grew hmmmm. that is strange.

The deal with the Ang Lee Hulk was that he would get bigger the more angry he got/the more he was attacked. So when the Army would shoot him with machine guns he'd just get more angry and grow in size.
He was never like a regular sized man. I believe 8 feet tall was his initial size.
The old "the jeans cover the junk no matter what" is an eternal theme with the Hulk.

Seriously though, what man wears purple pants? Do his pants change color when he gets angry too?

My theory is he wears some breathable, stretchable cloth under his own pants because he knows from experience that when he changes he loses his pants (and really, who wants that kind of humiliation?). That fabric for whatever reason is only available in purple.
