I noticed that there's an open mic at the Mel tonight called Otto's Funhouse. Has anyone ever been to this? What are your favorite open mics around town? I've got this great poem about Sea-Monkeys that I feel the public needs to hear.

I would recommend Thursday nights at Lazy Daze Coffeehouse, 9 S. Johnson Ave., in Irvington (just around the corner from the Irving Theatre. Starts at 7 p.m.
If the Eastside is too far away, try the first Sunday of the month at the Tip Top Tavern. (6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1341 N. Capitol Ave. 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 1341 N. Capitol Ave.
And this Friday at Starbucks, 854 Broad Ripple Ave. Every third Friday of the month. Host: aLLEN iMAGERY.
