Join Actors Theatre of Indiana (ATI) for a fun-filled, hysterical evening where you'll be entertained by many performers including the 4 ladies who portrayed those singing sisters from Muncie in ATI's last production - THE TAFFETAS! Sing along with them as they delight us all with NEW songs from the 50's. It's sure to be an evening to remember! The Fifties theme for the upcoming "An Evening To Remember, 2007," was inspired by the ATI's last production, The Taffetas and organizers are asking those who come to dress fifties-style. The historic Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel will create an entertaining and backdrop for the gala benefiting Actors Theatre of Indiana and will feature great songs of the 1950's, delicious cuisine, a silent and live auction, and festive interactive games. "We were able to create a lively theme for our event by drawing from our selected location and using the actresses from our past production" said Don Farrell, ATI producing artistic director and co-founder. "An Evening To Remember 2007" will be an enjoyable evening for attendees while, of course, raising much needed funds for our city's most up and coming professional theatre company." Now in its third season, Actors Theatre of Indiana created An Evening To Remember to be the professional theatre company's only annual gala and its primary fundraising source for operational funds. This year's event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, November 10th. This event was established as an annual fundraiser to help bring the best of ATI to Carmel, and to enhance the professional theatre company's extensive programming options. This year, the benefit is expected to attract more than 400 attendees consisting of a mix of young professionals, parents and theatre patrons from around the metropolitan area. The event is open to the public and will showcase the talents of Cynthia Collins, David Duncan, Katy Gentry, Judy Fitzgerald, Jon Lambert, Melissa Schott, and Greg Wolff. "Because we're a professional theatre company, we focus our time primarily on entertaining and educating. An Evening To Remember gives us an opportunity to do what we do best - create a fun and memorable evening full of great talent and great live music! Our hope is that this event will raise desperately needed revenue for our operating and production costs, give us an opportunity to produce in Carmel while introducing ourselves to some new neighbors and patrons," said Farrell. The evening also will include a silent and live auction featuring such items as jewelry, Pacers tickets, designer dresses, rare autographed photos, rare autographed memorabilia, and much, much more!!!
