Anyone else into live music besides popular current artists concerts?

I'm thinking Jazz Kitchen to community band conerts- for the love sharing instrumental music. Had the chance to catch the Artemis Quartet last night. Wasn't a posted event in arts and culture so I thought I'd give it a shout out. Phenomenal group! Unreal talent and 2 contemporary pieces that were unlike anything I've ever heard from a string quartet.

German group debuted an American peice worldwide very recently entitled Mandares by Thomas Larcher b. 1963, and the American debut was 2 nights ago. We were the third audience to enjoy the new work. Phenomenal! Challenged the upper limits of string quartets' performance standards.

They knocked the socks off of Tchaikovsky!!
