I know, I know ... there are still a lot of you out there that refuse to acknowledge that soccer is growing in this country.
Well blah to you.
I know that I'm excited to watch my team, the Chicago Fire, try to run through the playoffs to another MLS Cup Championship. It'll be a tough battle going head-to-head with D.C. United, one of the consistently tough teams in the league. Tonight's game should be really exciting and a great kickoff to the playoffs.
I know there's a lot of other high-profile tv scheduled for tonight ... so set your TiVos, your VCRs, or whatever and give it a try. I'm telling you, if you've ever played or seen your children play a soccer game, you will find that it is more exciting than a lot of the other sports out there :)
I know I'll be watching ... will you?!
Nope. Too much good TV tonight, even for my two Tivos to keep up.
You've got the NBC block (including Scrubs ... woot!), BC vs. VT football, the World Series and lord knows what else all going on at the same time ...
And besides, if it ain't Beckham, why bother ... kidding of course ...
Well, I can see why you would watch the BC/VT football game, but I'm not sure if a lot of us Indiana natives would be too into that one. Yeah, I suppose some people will watch the World Series, but I personally haven't watched a game since I was like 8. I dunno, just find the sport boring now.
So my Tivo is good to go (cause I'll be getting that NBC block as well!)
Beckham would be nice, but his team didn't make it to the playoffs :)
