I've always been the nightowl. I always have the hardest time finding something to do in the middle of the night. My fiance and I usually watch of movie and eat dinner, but what else is there. We want to get out of the house. I know we could go to a club on the weekends, or go out to eat at the 24 hour joints, BUT I'm wondering if there is an indoor pool open at 1 o'clock in the morning somewhere.
I can relate. I never really grew out of my teenage sleep cycle. Left to my own devices, I would naturally go to bed around 3 a.m. and get up around 10 a.m. But having a job and a girlfriend who gets up before 6 a.m. kinda forces you to adapt.
I've had the morning jobs, but I still stayed up until 3am. I could never go to sleep. I think I'm afraid that I am going to miss something. I am glad I get off work in time to see The Late late show with Craig Ferguson.
The great thing about drinking is that you can do it 24 hours a day.

Pebbles, I used to be the same way not going to sleep, because I was afraid i would miss something....wow, I thought I was the only one. I usually get about 5 hours of sleep a night, I work from 7a till 4pm and I am always in bed by 11pm......I miss the days of staying up, but then again I am 39 years old now and none of my friends are up and surfing the net can get old, but on the weekends I have been known to stay up till 5-6 in the morning.
Good one McGee, but I'm not a big drinker. Though I do love to go dancing at the clubs. I use to drink a lot when I went out, but I stopped going out for awhile and now I can't drink like I use too.
Actually Bass, I know a lot of people that stay up late like I do. My fiance and my two best friends stay up all the time. And it's hard to find something to do that doesn't cost a lot of money in the middle of the night. I wish I could go swimming or go for a walk. Walking at night is not such a good idea though.

not these days it's not, now if you were with a group of friends that could be ok....night swimming sounds awesome!
I go on late-night walks around the neighborhood...the neighbors probably think I'm weird. I'm always surprised, however, to see many of my neighbors out and about at 2 am on a weeknight. I think in this 24/7 world we live in, a lot more people work second and third shift. I'll see people walking their dog or jogging in the middle of the night when the weather is nice.
As for things to do, there's not a lot. You can go out to eat at a truck stop, go bowling at the 24 hour place in Beech Grove, go shopping at one of the 24 hour grocery stores, go cat fishing, sit around a fire pit and chat, find some one with a pool and go swimming...
Thanks Rictor! That does help me out, a little. I guess I'll figure out something.
