The 20th annual White River clean up is taking place Saturday morning, April 6 from 8 am to noon. 300 volunteers have already volunteered but the more, the merrier and cleaner our greenways shall become. Do-gooders, tree huggers and neat freaks are all welcome. Or maybe you're a beginning punk rocker: here's a perfect opportunity to get those new clothes all punked up and torn and dirty or use your spiked hair to pick up stray bits of paper. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8 am at the parking lots at 801 W. Washington Street, on the east side of the river near Victory Field. For more details, check out the foundation's website www.greenwaysfoundation.org. The nonprofit corporation works to promote the growth, enhancement and use of Indiana greenways.
