I need to buy some new music and feel the need to branch out a bit. The last purchase I made was a bunch of different Nine Inch Nails songs off itunes. I'm considering the new Van Morrison but I'm looking around to see what other options are out there. Any suggestions?

My 3 most recent purchases are The Acorn (Glory Hope Mountain), Grand Archive (Self Titled), and Gnarls Barkley (The Odd Couple). I'm very satisfied with all three.

Since you are a NIN fan, we thought we'd tell you that we just blogged about how the new CD, The Slip, can be downloaded for free at www.nin.com or you can stream it for free at iLike.com

Some 08' titles I have been digging:

The Sword - Gods Of The Earth

Saviours - Into Abaddon

Testament - The Formation Of Damnation

Rancid - B-sides & C-Sides

Dropkick Murphy's - The Meanest Of Times (oops actually a 2007 title hehe)

Lair Of The Minotaur - War Metal Battle Master

Soilent Green - Inevitable Collapse In The Presence Of Conviction

I ended up getting the new Bon Iver cd when I posted this.

Right now I'm eagerly awaiting the new releases from some of the members of Nickel Creek. Sean Watkins is working with Glenn Philips (from Toad the Wet Sprocket) and his Sara Watkins is having her first solo album produced by John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin fame).
