Did anyone esle know that Depp was in Crown Point, IN filming a movie about gangster John Dillinger? Just thought I would pass it on incase anyone wanted to go stand outside the set like these people and sell their photo's for a dollar. AHHH, the good life!
Indeed he was. Went ahead and added an AP photo shot while he was filming there. Hope you don't mind!
DOOD! JD is in Indiana!? That's cool.

Don't mind at all. I think he's still here. I thought I read that filming is taking place for 3 months or something. Now, not sure how long Depp will be there, but still, pretty cool.
I wonder if he's commuting in from Chicago.. I can't imagine actually staying/living in Crown Point.

No, he actually lives in Muncie. He got a small apartment there and liked it so much he decided to live there permanently.
As the Geico Gecko might say, that's a complete dramatization, of course.
Oh man. He is one of my favorites. I think I'd melt if I ever met him or saw him in person.
too bad indy's not within easy stalking distance to crown point
Is he playing Dillinger? Have these people ever seen a picture of Dillinger? Because, geez, there isn't the remotest inkling of the slightest notion of even the barest resemblance.
I didn't really know much about Dillinger until I saw this and then went to wiki. It's crazy how many close by connections he has. Like born in Indy, buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, etc. Here, read for yourself.

cool post. I love JD!!!!
I always heard that Dillinger lived in Mooresville and/or his funeral was in Mooresville, IN. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, I wonder if they will use Mooresville for any of the filming? Of course most Midwest small town areas look similar...so, the old town area of Crown Point would probably suffice.
