We are WISH-TV, Channel 8, Indianapolis! We bring you nothing of relevance and we do it in the lowest possible quality we know how!

Does anyone here have Directv? I ordered the March Madness basketball package specifically to watch the USC vs. Kansas St. game last night (because I assumed there was no way an Indianapolis station would show that game). WISH TV, Channel 8 in Indianapolis does not broadcast on Directv in Hi Def. I have no clue why. Every other local affiliate does. Anyway, these f'ers wind up showing the game locally which means that I still cannot get the game in HD because it was blacked out even through the pay package. WTF!? Does anyone know anything about this? Anyone have regualr cable with an HD package and able to get Channel 8 in HD? For the record, Channel 8 sucks those things that hang from a donkey's genitalia.

I watched the K-State USC game over-the-air in HD.. I have DirecTV and my box (the HD/DVR model) has a cable jack for an antenna to grab OTA HD signals.

Also if your HDTV has a built in tuner you can just plug an antenna in and get quite a few HD channels OTA.

Ah! I have the HD-DVR model as well, and I didn't know that about the antenna jack. I watched Colts games all year in cruddy standard def.

I was just going to say I thought WISH DID in fact broadcast in HD, but for some reason DirecTV doesn't have the channel in HD.
