Personally, I'm partial to Pizza King, with their salty, thin crust and ground toppings that cover every square inch of pizza surface.

The best pizza in the state would probably be Gabe's in Kokomo, which is similar to Pizza King. I actually like Gabe's strombolis better than the pizza though. I've been known to take the hour and a half drive to Kokomo for one of these spicy pizza subs.

As for the most overrated pizza in Indy, I'd have to say Union Jacks. I think people are mesmerized by the decorations or something when they eat there, because this overpriced pizza can't stack up against any other pizza joint on the west side, even the national chains.

I'm having a hard time finding a pie yummier than Jockamo Upper Crust.

If you like pizza with a lot of toppings - true "pie" style, try Gallagher's Pizza. But my personal favorite pizza is from Wannamker's New Bethel Ordinary! It is yummy - and you can't beat getting pizza at a small bar/restaurant in a one-traffic light kinda "town." Wannamaker is on the southeast side -- just follow Southeastern Road to the corner of Post.

I like deepdish and therefore wouldn't put Pizza King at the top of my list. Pizza King is good, but there's something about eating an entire pizza to feel full that disappoints. At least with Union Jack's you don't go hungry. The Ordinary is absolutely amazing, but it's just so far out there. Some Guys cooks up some great specialty pizzas too.

I like deep dish when I'm in the mood for it. Pizza King does offer a thicker crust pizza option, by the way. They wouldn't be my first chouice for a deep dish pie though.

Another vote for Gallagher's pizza (make sure you get "The Sink") and also a vote for Barlo's. Both located on the citys' southside.
