April's First Friday at the Big Car Gallery should be one of the most exciting of the year. Ex-Indianapolis native and current San Francisco dweller Nat Russel will be showing drawings and photos, and has been known to incorporate giant cut out wooden people in the past, so who knows what else to expect. A good friend and collaborator of Nat's, Lisa Choinacky will be showing her "Covers of Covers" work. Choinacky reworks the covers of our favorite records for you to hang on your wall. Local bands We Are Hex and Thin Fevers will round the evening out. The happening is on April 4th from 6pm to midnight, with the music starting at 10pm. See you there!
I hear nothing but rave reviews of Nat's work, and I went to college with Lisa, so it'll be interesting to see what she's up to. This will definitely break my streak of not making it to Big Car's consistently attendance-worthy shows.
this awesome evening also marks the release of Thin Fevers latest EP, New Systems - four song cd, limited edition t-shirt, both in a box designed and printed by silk screen artist Bob Peele.

see ya there mlhphd!
Nat's work is pretty awesome. I am excited to check out what he has been working on, as Ben mentioned, we are playing this night and releasing our ep, so I can't lose. I read somewhere that Nat is going to be playing a show at Big Car in a couple of moths too, he is a really talented musician as well.
Holy crap! Lisa was my roommate for a year back in college. This is extra neat.
