So, there was much talk and twittering leading up to the SI (Sexy Intimate or Scholar's Inn?) reopening last Friday. With an already full weekend and an interest in avoiding the potential horde of the grand re-open, I didn't sample the redesigned interior or menu. But aside from these excuses, especially in the last few years, I haven't enjoyed my SI experiences, so going now wasn't my top priority.
To address what seems to be a key question for everyone, Feed Me/Drink Me reports that the half-price martini Thursdays will return.
Did anyone get to go this weekend? Or are you planning on going anytime soon?
I will probably venture in, but will be dissapointed when my old stand-byes are no longer on the mene. i.e., buttermilk ranch dressing and chocolate pate

It's too bad that they haven't put up the new menu (to be fair, they're probably still finalizing and refining it) on their website.
I went Friday with a bunch of friends and I thought the makeover really is dramatic. The bar area is actually somewhere you'd want to hang out in now, rather than a place to wait for Auntie Gert to show up for Sunday brunch. Be sure to check out the upstairs "community table." The bar service was a bit spotty. Perhaps they should scale back the crazy recipes and streamline the offerings to emphasize the classics.
Overall, a much needed offering on Mass Ave. Really, Agio was the only "nice" lounge, so it's great to see another grownup place that's not another pub.
When I hear the term "Ultra Lounge" I tend to flee in the opposite direction.
"(Sexy Intimate or Scholar's Inn?)" Makes me think Sports Illustrated. Guess I read too much CNN.
As far as going to check it out, well, I probably won't unless one of my friends asks me to meet them there, or something to that effect. I don't know, maybe I'd go on my own, but not very likely.
They really need to update the website. It really annoying to go from page to page with just "Coming Soon" on it.
