Come out and check out this literary artform. Born from the mind of Slampapi, Marc Smith, in Chicago, Slam is more of a movement now than a novelty. Be one of the first to bring this fine artform back to Indianapolis. Winner wins $50 and a chance to defend their title the next month. Runner-up wins $25. Come on down and check it out. I love slamming! It is poetry on steroids, okay maybe not steroids, but it definitely beefs up what we may or may not be accustomed too in poetry. The creativity is astounding, and just when you thought you heard it all some student, some lover of the art creates a new style, a new tone, a new form to say what you always wanted to say but could not!
