Mythopeic, www.mythopeic.org, is back in business. After taking a bit of a break to have baby Vladimir, we are ready to bring the best avant creative music to you!
March 20: Don't miss an exciting line-up of Paul Velat (Lord of the Yum-Yum), Petting Zoo & film, To Give is to Receive is to Give, and DJ e. Brown at Radio Radio.
Paul Velat (Lord of the Yum-Yum) is coming back with his new and unexpected creation, Sock, an operetta of epic proportions complete with recitative, arias and exciting programs.
Using a mix of overhead projection and live video along with triggered sound manipulation Petting Zoo presents live multimedia explorations by musician Tom Abbs & painter M.P. Landis. Here's the best part, this goes way beyond any visual art you have ever seen--just over a year ago they shared in the ultimate collaboration, documented in a film, To Give is to Receive is to Give, when Tom donated his left kidney to save M.P.'s life. Everybody who is interested in multimedia, new media awesomenss, you cannot miss this.
DJ e. brown will spin an unusual set of avant, experimental and free jazz records in between the acts.
May 27: 2 Foot Yard All you, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Tin Hat Trio fans out there, don't miss seeing Carla Kihlstedt in her other masterpiece, 2 Foot Yard.
Shahzad Ismaily, Carla Kihlstedt, and Marika Hughes, the band members, define 2 Foot Yard as 1. a very small urban garden in which things grow organically, both feeding off of and defying their greater context. 2. a short-changed measurement. Check out their site at www.2footyard.com for more information.

Are there any creative music fans out there? Who are some of your favorite acts? Who loves Radio Radio?
Always great shows! Welcome back!
It's good! I plan on being there at 10PM.
